Bollywood film Drona, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra
Director Goldie Behl explained to IANS, “Since the day we started shooting the film, Priyanka was very confident about all her action scenes. She was very confident until we started shooting for a scene where she was supposed to ride a horse. She suddenly got very edgy with the idea.”
It turns out that the beautiful star has a phobia about horses and it took all of her courage to do the shot.
Behl added, “The horse sequence was very prominent for the scene. After a creative discussion, she actually shot for the entire sequence. Once the camera rolled no one could make out that she was scared and she shot like a pro.”

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif topped hot lists on surveys
Both Filmfare and Screen India recently announced the winners of their respective polls. Recently the magazines surveyed their readers about many different topics; with Filmfare asking who is the hottest and Screen India wanting to know what is in and what is out in Bollywood. Both Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif topped lists on both surveys.
In Filmfare, Ranbir was named the Face of 2008! Also making the cut were Deepika Padukone at number two and new hottie Imran Khan at number three.
Katrina topped two lists on that same poll. She is considered the sexiest pin up girl and as having the hottest figure. Who else has the hottest figure? Bipasha Basu and Kareena Kapoor. Bipasha Basu came in at number two on the pin up list, as well followed up by Mallika Sherawat. Fans also think Mallika the biggest contender to be romanced by 007 in a Bond film with Bipasha and Kareena joining her on that list.
On to Screen India and for that poll Katrina was named as the Changing face of Bollywood. Also on the list were Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor.
What did Ranbir win? He was named the Next Big Thing in Bollywood. Deepika Padukone came in second, Shahid Kapoor was third and Imran Khan came in at number four.
Screen India also asked fans who they considered path breakers and Aamir Khan took home that title, with Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan closing out the list.
The magazine also put two interesting questions to their readers. They wanted to know if they prefer mindless comedy, romance, historical or psychological thriller films? The answer mindless comedies topped the list with the other three following in that same order. They also asked if they minded kissing and item songs in Bollywood movies. The answer was split almost exactly in half with 48% saying they do not like them and 45% saying they don’t mind!

Singer Shibani Kashyap on International Tour
After enthralling audiences in Tanzania and Bangkok last month, singer Shibani Kashyap is all set to enthrall audiences in New York and Hong Kong.
“I'm eagerly looking forward to my overseas tour that starts in October. I will perform in Hong Kong in October and New York in November. But before that I will tour North India," said Shibani in a press statement.
Shibani says she was surprised by the overwhelming response that she got abroad.
“I was amazed at the huge Indian population that turned out in Tanzania. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit there as I got a first hand experience of the music lovers,” she said.
'Shibani has earlier sung and composed popular songs like ”Sajnaa aa bhi jaa”, and “Zindaa hoon main”.
She also featured and sung a song in English film 'The Great Indian Butterfly' starring Aamir Bashir, Sandhya Mridul and Koel Purie.

Aishwarya Rai has been offered to play the part of Mumtaz Mahal
Aishwarya Rai has been offered to play the part of Mumtaz Mahal at least five times, the latest being for a film produced by Ben Kingsley and featuring him in the lead.
But all the projects have fallen through.
But now industry insiders tell us that a major production house - one that has worked with both Ash and Abhi - is seriously thinking of casting Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan as Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan respectively.
Says a source from the production house, “After seeing how effectively Abhishek has carried off his ‘period’ look in Drona, we seriously want to cast Aishwarya and Abhishek in a period film.”
Incidentally, there seems to be an indelible link between Abhishek Bachchan and the Taj Mahal.
No other present-day actor has shot so often at Agra. In the past five years, Abhishek has already shot five times at the Taj Mahal!
“That’s true,” says Abhishek, having just returned from his latest sojourn at the Taj Mahal for Rakeysh Mehra’s Dilli 6.
Abhishek reels out the number of films he has shot at the Taj Mahal, “The first time I shot at the Taj Mahal was for one of my earliest films Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya, followed by Bunty Aur Babli. The following year, we shot Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom in Agra. And then last year during Aishwarya’s birthday I was shooting my cellphone advertisement in Agra. And now I was there for Rakeysh’s film. It’s quite uncanny.”
So much for Abhi’s tryst with the Taj Mahal. Now, if only his project where he plays Shah Jahan comes through, the romance will be quite complete!

Sun Pictures release of Nakhul starrer ‘Kadhalil Vizhunthen’ Kollywood Movie
Sun Pictures, an arm of Sun TV Network which was launched in Chennai on the 8th of September will be involved in the release of the Nakhul starrer ‘Kadhalil Vizhunthen’ Movie. The censors has cleared the movie Kadhalil Vizhunthen with an ‘UA’ certificate.
Nakul of Boys fame is the hero. Nakulan is the younger brother of actress Devyani. Telugu actress Sunena is debuting in Tamil as the heroine. The movie directed by debutant P.V. Prasad, has cinematography by S D Vijay Milton and editing by V T Vijayan.
Kaadhalil Vizhunthein is an action-packed romantic story set in a college. The movie has musical score by Vijay Anthony and the Nakku Mukka Song from the movie is already topping the music charts.
