Believe it or Not But it’s True…… actress Meena is getting married. Meena got engaged to software engineer Vidyasagar from Bangalore, at a private function at her residence in Chennai. For many years, Meena and her mother had been looking for a groom and now finally they found meena’s man.

Meena will get married to Vidyasagar on July 12 in Tiruppathi. A reception will be held in Chennai on July 14.

Born on September 16, 1978 (30 years now) as Meena Durairaj, Actress Meena started her career in 1982 as a child artist, has done more than 175 films.

Her lead role with superstar Rajinikanth in Yejaman made her to the number one slot in Tamil cinema. She has done three films as Rajinikanth’s heroine Following the release of Muthu in Japan and its commercial success, Meena’s popularity rose in Japan along with Rajinikanth.

She is considered as a homely actress with seductress eyes and lips, She has generally avoided glamorous roles. Meena acted with high personality when she was in peek in her acting career.

Actor Vijaykanth in Kollywood Mariyaathai Movie - Photo Shoots

Captain Vijayakanth and Vikraman are coming together for Mariyaathai after blockbuster movie Vanathai Pola. Vijaykanth has been, for the first time, paired up against Meera Jasmine for this Mariyadhai film. The grand success of Saroja, T. Siva of Amma Creations produces this Mariyathai film.

In ‘Mariyaadhai’, Vijayakanth plays dual roles of father and son with Meera Jasmine and Meena in the female lead role. For the father character Ambika is the choice. After “naaku mukka” Vijay Antony scores the music for this Mariyadhai. This time Vikraman did not chose his regular music composer S A Rajkumar.

Director Vikraman, on his part said, “Vaanatha Pola was the first Indian movie in the millennium, being released on January 13, said to be an unlucky day. But it went on to be a super hit, and went to many other languages as well.

Yet, I was disappointed with it on two accounts: I showed Vijaykanth as a very soft character. And two, the movie won many awards, but I expected a Best Actor Award for Vijaykanth, which never happened. I’m sure I’ll straighten things out this time around.” Meera Jasmine, Meena and Ambika play the heroines of the film.

Meena has demanded a pay rise from the producers of Adivasiyum Athisayapesiyum movie

Until a few months ago, actress Meena’s market value was down and no film offers were on her list. At that time, the actress had agreed to do a role in the Senthil starrer movie Adhivasiyum Adhisayapesiyum. Now with Kuselan in her kitty, offers have started poring in again for the actress.

Hence meena has demanded a pay rise from the producers of Adivasiyum Athisayapesiyum movie which the producers were not able to afford and the actress has conviniently walked out of her commitment to the movie.

Adhivasiyum Adhisayapesiyum movie would be produced by PB Babu and Sivaramakrishnan for a new company BBC International. The shooting of the movie is to be done in the forest areas of Malaysia and South America. The theme of the movie is based on the famous South African film The Gods Must be Crazy, a crazy goofy movie rocked in the eighties in which a African tribal faces the scientific modern world in the form an empty coke bottle.

In Tamil the coke bottle has been replaced with a Cell phone. The entire movie would be shot in Malaysia.

The movie will have comedian Senthil and comedians like Mayilsamy, Vyapuri and Ramesh Aravind are also in the crew of this comedy riot. The camerawork will be by Kasi Viswa. Music will be composed by Chakri.
