Asin might be the new pin up girl in North to make it to the top from Kollywood, but actress Padmapriya thinks she has a better chance in Hindi films than the rest!
If it sounds presumptuous, ask the actress! “Yes, I’m already doing a Hindi film and am looking for greener pastures in Bollywood. What’s wrong in aiming high?” she reasons, adding that she has an added advantage over other actresses, aspiring to make a mark in both there.
“I’ve done both offbeat and commercial films here. I can carry both roles well. There’s scope for both roles out there. And there’s greater name and fame in Bollywood. Why not aim high,” the actress questions.
They struck an accord with the middle class audience in Thavamai Thavamirunthu. Now the lead pair of this movie, Cheran and Padmapriya are back to weave their magic once again with the audience. Pokkisham will be produced by Nemichand Jhabak and V Hitesh Jhabak.
There were talks about romance between Cheran and Padmapriya during Thavamai Thavamirunthu. It was rumoured that Padmapriya was virtually living out of Cheran’s T Nagar office and the joke was that she was trying to teach Cheran how to browse the net and also send e-mail!
However after the release of the movie, their romance was over and the latest we hear is that Cheran is bringing back his favourite Padmapriya in his ambitious Pokisham.
Pokkisham will also be directed by Cheran himself. Cheran who has completed Raman Thediya Seethai where he plays the hero has been working on the script of Pokisham for the last two years.
The movie has stared rolling and is a much expected movie out of Cheran’s direction.
